Okanogan County's records span from 1888 to the present. That is a long and detailed record set. Not all of it is available online. Older paper records must be requested directly through the clerk's office. For digital-era records, see the online access options below.
The clerk files and indexes all Superior Court documents. That includes all civil case filings, family law matters, probate, guardianship, and criminal case records. Non-confidential records are available through the court's online portal. Confidential case types are restricted to attorneys of record and authorized parties only.
How to Search Okanogan County Civil Court Records
Okanogan County offers several ways to search for civil court records, depending on what level of access you need.
- Washington Courts Public Search: dw.courts.wa.gov - the statewide case index covering Superior Court and District Court cases across Washington. Free to use, no registration required.
- Odyssey Portal (basic): odysseyportal.courts.wa.gov - public case index search. Shows case numbers, party names, and case status for non-confidential cases.
Subscription remote access: Okanogan County offers remote electronic access to court records through the Odyssey Portal by annual subscription. This gives deeper document-level access than the free public search. Pricing is based on the number of users in your organization:
- 1-3 users: $100.00 per year
- 4-6 users: $250.00 per year
- 7-10 users: $500.00 per year
- More than 10 users: $600.00 per year
To register for the subscription, you must complete a Master Registration Form and a Confidentiality Form. Payment is by check only, made payable to Okanogan County Clerk. Allow about two weeks for your access to be set up after submitting the forms and payment.
In-person access is also available at the courthouse during business hours. Public access terminals are available on-site. Bring the case number or party names to speed up your search.
Okanogan County District Court
Okanogan County also has a District Court that handles civil matters with amounts up to $100,000. This court covers smaller civil disputes, small claims cases, and traffic matters. District Court records are kept separately from Superior Court records. The statewide search at dw.courts.wa.gov covers both court levels, so it is a good place to start if you do not know which court handled a case.
For direct questions about District Court records, contact the Okanogan County courthouse and ask to be directed to the District Court clerk.
