How to Search Thurston County Civil Records Online
The Odyssey Portal at odysseyportal.courts.wa.gov is the main online search tool for Thurston County civil court records. Search by party name, case number, or attorney. The portal is free to use and shows case type, filing date, parties, and document lists. It is available around the clock.

The Clerk's office will respond with a page count, cost, and online payment link. After payment, documents are emailed or mailed depending on what type of copy you ordered.

In-Person Access at the Courthouse
As of March 2026, in-person services at the Thurston County Clerk's office are limited due to budget reductions. Customer service counters are closed. Ex parte services are suspended until further notice. However, public terminals remain available in the lobbies at both locations for free document viewing from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

Thurston County Superior Court
Superior Court in Thurston County handles civil lawsuits where the amount at stake exceeds $100,000. Domestic relations cases, including divorce, legal separation, and parenting matters, are also filed here. Probate and guardianship cases, adoptions, and appeals from District Court all go through Superior Court.
